Strategy
that ships.
Channing Masters is a brand, growth and content marketer. A strategist who executes: the plan, and the work that proves it.
Hi, I’m Channing.
[Placeholder] I’m a marketer who works across brand, growth and content, and I care most about the part where strategy turns into something real.
[Placeholder] Two or three sentences on your path so far: where you started, what kinds of companies you’ve helped, and the problems you’re drawn to. Keep it in your own voice. Recruiters read this paragraph more than any other.

How I think
Most marketing advice assumes you’re thriving. Most brands aren’t. So before I recommend anything, I read the conditions.
A playbook built for growth will burn cash in a downturn. A survival plan will strangle a brand that’s ready to scale. The first thing I deliver on any brief is a written read on which of three conditions the brand is in, agreed with the team. Then the plan.
Survive
Signals Revenue is soft, budgets are frozen, and every dollar has to prove itself this quarter.
Protect the core. Cut to the channels that already convert, keep the customers you can’t afford to lose, and say less, more clearly.
- Brand
- Keep the promise simple and keep it.
- Growth
- Retention before acquisition. Fix the leaks first.
- Content
- Answer the questions that close deals.
Reset
Signals The market moved, the story stopped landing, or the brand outgrew the position it started with.
Re-earn the right to grow. Find the audience again, rewrite the positioning around what’s true now, and rebuild the funnel to match.
- Brand
- Reposition before you repaint.
- Growth
- Rebuild the funnel around the new story.
- Content
- Publish the new point of view, loudly and often.
Thrive
Signals Product-market fit is real and the engine works. The risk now is getting comfortable.
Pour fuel on it. Scale what works, test what’s next, and build the brand people ask for by name.
- Brand
- Turn a good product into a name people ask for.
- Growth
- Scale proven channels, and keep a budget for bets.
- Content
- Build the library that compounds.
Then, the plan
Every plan I write runs on GOST. Each layer sits inside the one above it, so every tactic traces back to the goal, and nothing ships without a reason.
Goals
The season
Where the business needs to be. One sentence a CEO would sign. Example Become the default choice for [audience] in [market].
Objectives
The quarter
Measurable targets with a baseline and a deadline. Example Lift qualified pipeline from 120 to 200 a month by Q3.
Strategies
The month
How we choose to win, and what we choose not to do. Example Own one sharp category point of view instead of chasing every keyword.
Tactics
The week
What ships: campaigns, assets and channels. Example A flagship report, a six-week LinkedIn series, a webinar with sales.
